What is an adult day center?

An adult day center is a home away from home that provides therapeutic and social activities to promote health and wellness for adults of any age.


How do I know if a person can benefit from an adult day program?

Any adult who is impacted by limited abilities or challenged with health conditions will benefit from an adult day-program. Plus, caregivers–whether a parent, child, sibling, guardian, or provider–will benefit from having relief and reassurance that their loved one is in a safe and healthy environment focused on his/her well-being.


How do I pay for adult day services?

We accept private payments as well as insurance disbursements including but not limited to the Veterans Administration, U.S. Department of Labor/ Workers Compensation, and long-term care insurance. Contact us to verify whether your insurance is accepted.


What days and times are adult day services available?

Our normal hours for adult care are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Extended hours may be available with prior arrangements for Early Morning Care or After Hours Care. We do not provide services on weekends or holidays.


Are meals included in DSR’s adult day services?

Yes. We provide nutritious and delicious lunch, and 1 to 2 snacks at no additional cost.


What activities or services are offered at DSR?

Participants enjoy and benefit from arts & crafts, cooking, exercise, group & individual games, music, education, field trips, counseling, medical monitoring, and many other activities.
